VIDEO – CCS Friday: Imagine Church Differently
On Friday, October 9, 2020 the Centre for Christian Studies offered an online presentation and discussion on the topic: “Imagine Church Differently”, asking the question, “What does church mean when we can’t gather?” The Covid-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on communities of faith and their understanding of ecclesiology and how to be church.
The scheduled guest speaker for this session was unavailable, so CCS Principal Michelle Owens and CCS Development Coordinator Lori Stewart filled in, lifting up some of the implications and questions raised by the pandemic. This was followed by small group discussions and story-telling (not recorded) about how people are adapting their church practices in light of the need to keep each other safe.
