November CCS Friday – Unbounded Stories from Palestine
On Friday, Nov 7 the Centre for Christian Studies hosted an online discussion with special guest will be Izzeddin Hawamda of the peace and anti-racism organization Sadaa, on how stories rooted in land, identity, and community shape our sense of self and belonging. Izzy joined us from the West Bank, so we held the session a couple of hours earlier than our regular CCS Friday schedule for the sake of time difference. Izzeddin is a powerful storyteller, expressing the very human experiences of living in Palestine – food, smells, landscape, checkpoints, frustrations, hopes – and he also invited participants to talk about their experiences of “home.”
