On Saturday, September 21st, a class of seven students and two facilitators met from 9 AM to 4 PM at Woodsworth House for the first session of CCS’s new course for Anglicans – Ministering by Word and Example: Exploring DIAKONIA in the Anglican Tradition.

And so at every Truth and Reconciliation event, they hold a birthday party and make sure there are enough cupcakes for every person there.
It is with a mix of personal regret but warm wishes and much gratitude for her contribution to CCS, that we announce the retirement of Liz Bachmann, effective November 23, 2013.

The CCS Archives Working Group is looking for volunteers to 1) put together a display on CCS’s Anglican heritage, and/or 2) work with the historic deaconess uniform.
“Development Lunches,” part of every Learning Circle a few years ago, are starting up again after a hiatus.
Seven CCS students enter their final year of studies this year – bringing together their learning and reflecting on wisdom.
At the beginning of each theme year, CCS program staff make an effort to connect in person with the facilitators, mentors and local committees attached to each site.
Barbara Hansen’s personal smoothie concoctions have been a staple of learning circles since she start at CCS in 2009.
Last Friday the room was full of people eager to discuss the relationship between humour and faith. Lesley Harrison and Scott Douglas offered reflections that were both funny and faithful.
