Montreal LDM Begins
Eight participants from across Canada the world came together Monday at the United Theological College in Montreal for two weeks of learning in community and deepening their leadership skills. Ted Dodd and Marcie Gibson will be facilitating the Leadership Development Module, and Alyson Huntly (CCS Companion of the Centre and UTC Director of Studies) will serving as chaplain during the event.
Most of the participants come from Quebec and Ontario, with one from Saskatchewan, one from BC, and one from Barbados. (And one technically from the United States, but within spitting distance of Upper Canada Village, so does that count?) From June 8th to 20th they will be exploring their own personal learning and leadership styles and digging into themes of pastoral care, social ministry, education, and theology, as well as learning skills of group facilitation, action-reflection, and dealing with conflict.
If the Leadership Development Module is something you’d like to be a part of, another one is being offered this summer in Winnipeg, August 10-22. The application deadline has passed, but we can still squeeze you in if you act fast.
