Summer Student Worked on CCS Archives

Summer Student Worked on CCS Archives

CCS is pleased to have received a grant to hire a student for the summer under the Heritage Grants Program of Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism. The grant provides matching funds which CCS is using to sort, catalogue, and store its collections of historic and archival materials, including written records, photographs, scrap books, and memorabilia donated by graduates. We were fortunate in being able to hire Taliah Klippenstein for part of the summer, sharing her time with the Archives of Manitoba North West Ontario Conference, UCC. Taliah completed a BA at Canadian Mennonite University, spent a year in the Netherlands working at a conference centre, and is now enrolled in a B.Sc. program at the University of Manitoba where she is pursuing her interest in climatology and climate change. During the past year she worked part time as an Archival Assistant at the Archives of MNWO Conference of the UCC.

Taliah Klippenstein, student employee, and Gwenna Moss, volunteer.

CCS is always interested in expanding its historic holdings, so if you have materials to donate or to lend for copying, please contact us.
