Call for Nominations – Companion of the Centre
Companion of the Centre nominations are being accepted for the 2012 Companion.
The “Companion of the Centre” award was established in 2001 by the Central Council of the Centre. Through this award, CCS honors, at the Annual Service of Celebration, one or more persons:
- graduates who through their life and ministry, have brought distinction and honour to the Centre for Christian Studies, or,
- members of the Centre for Christian Studies community (friends, volunteers, staff, students, and so on) who have made a significant contribution to the work of CCS, or,
- individuals in the wider community whose life and work epitomizes the ideals of CCS.
Nominations are welcome from graduates, students, friends, volunteers and staff. The Companion is presented with a “pin” in keeping with the tradition of both the Anglican and United Churches and CCS’s predecessor schools, to give graduates and Deaconesses pins. Nominations must be received by September 30th each year. Nomination form is available on line at http://www.ccsonline.ca/Resources/forms/nomination_for_companion.pdf
A list of all Companions is on the CCS website. Think about who might be a good nomination for CCS’s 120th anniversary and make it happen! It is not too soon to start to collect the materials now in order to be ready for the September deadline!
