Ted Dodd and Ann Naylor co-recipients of Davidson Award for Excellence in Theological Education

The Centre for Christian Studies is pleased to announce that Ann Naylor and Ted Dodd, program staff at CCS, have been named as the 2012 recipients of the prestigous Davidson Trust Award for excellence in theological education, awarded by the United Church of Canada Foundation.

“It is the intent of the committee to acknowledge and promote excellence of both scholarship and teaching in theological education in making this annual award.  Your contribution to theological studies and training, particularly in the area of Diaconal Ministry, is valued by the school and the wider church.”

“Congratulations to you for this prestigious award in recognition of your considerable contribution to The United Church of Canada.”

– Melodie Mui, Leadership Development, Communities in Ministry.

This is the first time the Davidson Trust Award has been given jointly to members of a faculty.  At CCS we are proud of our collaborative, non-competitive approach to education, and we see this recognition of both Ted and Ann as an affirmation of those values.
