Nicki Kirton – CCS Office Administrator
The Centre for Christian Studies is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicki Kirton as Office Administrator, beginning on June 10, 2014.
Nicki comes to CCS with a variety of employment experience – as a Parks Canada interpreter, a sales associate with a clothing chain, a barista and shift supervisor with Starbucks, and most recently as an employee with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. She has volunteer board experience with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and the University of Manitoba Singers.
We believe Nicki’s background in customer service and connection, money management, computer skills, office work, student life and coffee making has prepared her well for the multiple responsibilities of Office Administrator at CCS.
Nicki has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Manitoba. (If you’re a Winnipeg Goldeyes fan, you might have heard her singing the national anthem at a recent game.) She is a soloist at Westminster United Church just down the street from CCS, and has a goal of studying theology and becoming a United Church minister and Spiritual Care worker in the years ahead.
Nicki was pleased to learn that we begin our weekly staff meetings with a time of worship and singing and looks forward to that part. We welcome her on the staff team of the Centre.
We also want to give a big thanks to Liz Bachmann and Terry Reilly who stepped in as interim office administrators for the past month and a half. Your presence was a gift.
