Images of Diakonia Retreat Day

On Friday, at the Centre for Christian Studies, we had an amazing retreat day focusing on Images of Diakonia through the Easter and Passion stories. We had several learning centres set up with art, prayers, commentaries and a simple activity in each room. Participants circulated in silence entering into a spirit of contemplation and meditation. We had six centres:

Basin and Towel
Simon Carrying the Cross
Stones Rolled Away
Empty Nets
Road to Emmaus

In the Empty/Full Nets room I wrote this poem/prayer of thanksgiving after reflecting on this story of scarcity and abundance.
