Farewell for Alan
On April 29, 2024, CCS staff, volunteers, and friends gathered at Woodsworth House for an afternoon tea to wish Principal Alan Lai well as he leaves CCS to return to congregational minister in BC. Also in attendance were participants in the “Caring of the Soul” retreat who had just arrived in Winnipeg on their way to Beausejour, MB for the four day long retreat which Alan had planned. Alan’s partner Fanly was among the group, and it was lovely to reconnect with her. Alan led tours around CCS. It made for an energetic afternoon of introductions, reunions, and getting to know each others’ contexts.
