2023 Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to recipients of CCS scholarships this year.
Diaconal Ministry student Jamie Miller received the Kent Presbytery Scholarship. This scholarship was made possible by a one-time donation by the former Kent Presbytery of the United Church and is designated for a CCS student living in a rural context.
Diaconal Ministry student Hyerim Park and Certificate student Andy Pitter each received funds from the Myers Scholarship. This scholarship was made possible by an endowment from Dr. and Mrs. A.J.W. Myers and is designated for CCS students with a university degree or alumni pursuing post-grad work in religious studies.
CCS alum (and also CCS Program Staff, but for the sake of the scholarship it’s the alumni part that’s important) Marcie Gibson received the Rutherford Scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by an endowment from Gertrude Rutherford and is designated for a graduate of CCS who is pursuing a degree in religious education. Marcie is doing doctoral studies in diaconal education at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. (See previous posts.)
