DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, Sept 13 at 11am CDT (noon in Ontario\, 10am in Saskatchewan\, etc.) for an online introductory session on the CCS Spiral model of action-reflection. Useful for anyone who’s never used the Spiral before\, and a handy refresher for those who have. \nThe “Spiral” is a tool for personal and theological reflection that has been used by generations of Centre for Christian Studies students. Grounded in the liberation pedagogy of Paulo Freire and the work of educational theorists like Solberg\, Kolb\, and Frye\, the CCS Spiral helps users to make meaning of their lives through the lenses of Experience\, Feelings\, Thinking\, and Action. \nThis 90-minute intro is free to attend. SUMMARY:CCS Friday - Our Daily Bread
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an online discussion of food and spirit. Our special guest will be Naomi Miller. As an Anglican Priest for 25 years and a recent graduate with a BASc in Applied Human Nutrition\, Naomi is making up and claiming the title of “Pastoral Nutritionist”. In this role she works to strengthen the connections between our sacramental meals\, and our daily bread\, to sift the truth of how to feed ourselves and each other well from the lies of diet and wellness advertising\, and to support people in the patterns and practices that nourish the body and spirit. Naomi currently serves as Rector of the Church of the Apostles\, Guelph. \nClick HERE to register for a Zoom link.\nCCS Fridays: Online conversations to help us all to respond faithfully to emerging issues in local contexts.  These workshops are open to anyone who might be interested. Each session will be on a Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 CT and in the form of a Zoom workshop.  There will be a presentation that will be recorded for future viewing\, plus opportunities to engage with the ideas in small groups.
