Useful for anyone who’s never used the Spiral before\, and a handy refresher for those who have. \nThursday\, Sept 19 at 7pm CDT. \nThe “Spiral” is a tool for personal and theological reflection that has been used by generations of Centre for Christian Studies students. Grounded in the liberation pedagogy of Paulo Freire and the work of educational theorists like Solberg\, Kolb\, and Frye\, the CCS Spiral helps users to make meaning of their lives through the lenses of Experience\, Feelings\, Thinking\, and Action. \nThis 90-minute intro is free to attend. SUMMARY:September CCS Friday - Art as Spiritual Practice
DESCRIPTION:As bearers of God’s image\, we are each invited to participate in God’s creation. How does creative practice connect to your sense of vocation? Rev. Dawn Léger has been conducting research into how the practice of making art (especially among clergy) is both a connection to and expression of the Spirit within. \nDawn Léger\, is a pastor\, Anglican priest\, spiritual director\, educator\, and a lover of art and artists. Dawn practices contemplative photography and painting from her home in Halifax\, NS. She is always listening for the lessons that artists have to teach us as humans and leaders. She is concerned with clergy well-being\, particularly facing the challenges of 21st century churches. \nCCS Fridays are free. Please register to receive a zoom link. \nCCS Fridays: Online conversations to help us all to respond faithfully to emerging issues in local contexts.  These workshops are open to anyone who might be interested. Each session will be on a Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 CT and in the form of a Zoom workshop.  There will be a presentation that will be recorded for future viewing\, plus opportunities to engage with the ideas in small groups.
