December CCS Friday – Lambeth Learnings

December CCS Friday – Lambeth Learnings

On Friday, Dec 2, 2022, we hosted an online discussion of this year’s Lambeth Conference in England. The Lambeth Conference is a meeting of bishops in the worldwide Anglican Communion, held every decade.

Our special guest was Bishop Geoffrey Woodcroft, bishop of the Diocese of Rupert’s Land. He started by inviting participants to discuss their “compelling case for Christ in the world” – their “elevator pitch” to explain to someone why discipleship matters. Bishop Geoff then went on to reflect on his own experience of the Lambeth Conference, the challenges and joys of being a worldwide communion, and his reinvigorated commitment to supporting disciples in their lifelong learning.

CCS Fridays:
Online conversations to help us all to respond faithfully to emerging issues in local contexts.  These workshops are open to anyone who might be interested. Each session will be on a Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 (Winnipeg time) and in the form of a Zoom workshop.  There will be a presentation that will be recorded for future viewing, plus opportunities to engage with the ideas in small groups.
