Feast for Friends 2014
CCS was pleased to once again support the Feast for Friends gathering at the Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre in Beausejour on September 20, 2014.
Held each year around the fall equinox, this was the third time that friends from different cultures have come together on the land, for activities, story-telling, ceremony, feasting, and celebration. By all reports it was a wonderful day with record attendance. Busloads of people came out from Winnipeg.
Feast for Friends is a collaboration of the Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre, All Native Circle Conference, Manitoba & Northwestern Ontario Conference, and the Centre for Christian Studies.
In the afternoon the F4F attendees were hit with rain, so they went inside to enjoy, among other things, jigging.
We think this one is called the “Stan McKay jig”.
